Pars Auto Market – Terms of Service
Welcome to Pars Auto Market (“Pars Auto Market,” “we,” “our,” or “us”). By accessing or using our website, mobile app, or any related services (collectively, the “Platform”), you agree to be bound by these Terms of Service (the “Terms”). If you do not agree to these Terms, do not use the Platform.
1. Eligibility
You must be at least 18 years old to use Pars Auto Market. By creating an account, you represent that you are of legal age and have the capacity to enter into binding agreements.
2. User Accounts
You are responsible for maintaining the confidentiality of your account and password. Pars Auto Market is not liable for any loss or damage arising from your failure to safeguard your login credentials.
Public profile information. The name and profile photo you provide at signup (and later update) are visible to other users across the Platform, including on your listings, offers, chats, and seller profile. By creating an account you acknowledge that this information is public to other Pars users. Your email address and phone number remain private and are never shown on your public profile.
3. Listing Items for Sale
Pars Auto Market is a peer-to-peer marketplace that connects buyers and sellers of auto parts. In some cases, Pars Auto Market may also facilitate the sale and shipment of new parts directly from third-party vendors. While we may assist in order processing and fulfillment, we do not manufacture, own, inspect, or guarantee any products listed by sellers.
By listing an item for sale on Pars Auto Market, you agree that:
- You assume full responsibility for the accuracy, legality, and content of your listings, including all images, descriptions, representations, and item specifications.
- You will not list and will promptly remove any product that has been recalled by a manufacturer or government agency, is prohibited for sale under any applicable law or regulation, or poses a health or safety hazard as identified by any regulatory authority.
- You are solely responsible for understanding and complying with all applicable local, state, and federal laws and regulations, including those related to emissions, safety, and road use restrictions.
- Pars Auto Market has no responsibility or liability for the safety, emissions compliance, regulatory legality, or performance of any item listed or sold through our Platform, including any item subject to recall.
- You are solely responsible for any defect, non-conformity, or failure to comply with emissions, safety, or recall requirements applicable to any product you list or sell using our Platform.
- Pars Auto Market reserves the right to edit, modify, remove, or decline any listing that, in our sole discretion, violates our policies or any applicable law.
- All items must be described truthfully and accurately. Misrepresentation of condition, functionality, or authenticity is strictly prohibited and may result in suspension or termination of your account.
4. Purchasing Items
By purchasing an item on Pars Auto Market, you acknowledge and agree that:
- Pars Auto Market does not guarantee the safety, quality, authenticity, legality, roadworthiness, or emissions compliance of any item listed on the Platform.
- All purchases are made at your own risk, and you are responsible for ensuring that any item you buy complies with applicable local, state, and federal laws, including emissions regulations and road use restrictions.
- Pars Auto Market is not responsible for the installation, use, or regulatory status of any product after it is delivered.

5. Fees
Buyer Fee: Pars Auto Market charges buyers a fee of 4% of the sale price (excluding tax and shipping) or $6.50, whichever is greater, for each completed transaction.
Seller Fee: Pars Auto Market charges a 6.5% fee to sellers per completed transaction. This fee is deducted from the sale price, excluding tax and shipping costs.
These fees help cover escrow, payment processing, and platform maintenance. Fees are generally non-refundable unless an item is determined by Pars Auto Market to be not as described. In such cases, the buyer must open a support ticket within 48 hours of delivery. Pars Auto Market may request evidence such as photos or videos and will determine at its sole discretion whether to issue a refund or credit.
6. Pars Escrow — How It Works
6.1 What Is Pars Escrow?
Pars Escrow is Pars Auto Market's built-in payment protection service. When a buyer completes a purchase, the full payment — including the item price, Escrow & Protection Fee, and any applicable shipping and taxes — is collected by Pars Auto Market through our payment processor (Stripe) and held securely until the transaction is confirmed complete. The seller does not receive any funds during this holding period.
We are fully transparent about this process: Pars Auto Market receives and holds your payment. The funds sit in our Stripe account balance on your behalf and are only released to the seller once the escrow conditions below are satisfied. This protects buyers from receiving items that are not as described, and protects sellers by guaranteeing payment once they ship.
6.2 Step-by-Step Escrow Flow
- Buyer completes checkout. The full order amount is charged to the buyer's card and received by Pars Auto Market via Stripe. The seller is notified to prepare the item for shipment.
- Seller ships the item. The seller generates a shipping label through the platform (EasyPost) and ships the item. Tracking information is automatically attached to the order.
- Item is delivered. When the carrier marks the package as delivered, Pars Auto Market automatically starts a 48-hour buyer inspection window. The buyer receives an email notification.
- Buyer inspects the item. During the 48-hour window, the buyer can:
- "Everything Looks Good" — The buyer confirms receipt. Escrow is released immediately and the seller's payout becomes eligible.
- "Report a Problem" — A dispute ticket (prefixed DSP-) is created. The seller's payout is paused and our team contacts the buyer within 24 hours to investigate.
- No action taken — If the buyer does not respond within 48 hours, escrow is automatically released and the seller's payout becomes eligible. This is by design — the window is finite to protect sellers from indefinite holds.
- Seller requests withdrawal. Once payout is eligible, the seller can navigate to "My Payments" and request a withdrawal to their connected bank account.
- Admin reviews and releases funds. Pars Auto Market's team reviews the withdrawal request and initiates the bank transfer. Funds typically arrive in the seller's bank account within 1–5 business days after approval (new accounts may experience a one-time hold of up to 7 days by Stripe as a security review).
6.3 Important Notes on Escrow
- Pars Auto Market charges a non-refundable Escrow & Protection Fee of 4% of the item price (minimum $6.50), paid by the buyer at checkout. This fee covers the cost of operating the escrow service, buyer dispute coverage, and platform security.
- Funds held in escrow are not invested and earn no interest. They are held in our operating account solely for the purpose of completing the transaction.
- In the event of a dispute, Pars Auto Market may hold funds beyond the 48-hour window until a determination is reached. All dispute decisions are final and binding.
- Pars Auto Market is not a bank or licensed escrow company. Our escrow service is a platform feature provided to facilitate transactions between private buyers and sellers.

6a. Dispute Workflow
If a buyer reports a problem during the inspection window:
- A dispute ticket (prefixed DSP-) is automatically created and linked to the order.
- The seller's payout is paused while the dispute is open.
- Our support team will contact the buyer at the email address on file within 24 hours.
- Pars Auto Market may request photos, videos, or other evidence and will make a final determination at its sole discretion.
- Once resolved, payout is released to the appropriate party and the dispute is closed.
All decisions by Pars Auto Market in connection with disputes are final and binding.
7. Returns & Cancellations
- Orders can only be canceled before the seller ships the item. Once tracking shows that an order has shipped, it cannot be canceled.
- If eligible under the Return and Refund Policy, buyers may request a return or refund after the item is delivered.
- To cancel an order or request a return, please email support@parsautomarket.com or submit an inquiry through the Platform with your order number and details of the request.
8. In-Platform Messaging
Pars Auto Market provides in-platform messaging (Chats) so buyers and sellers can ask questions and negotiate about listings. All communication about a transaction must take place on the Platform so we can enforce our policies and resolve disputes.
When using Chats, you agree that:
- No contact information. You will not share, solicit, or attempt to exchange phone numbers, email addresses, social media handles, external messaging app contacts (WhatsApp, Telegram, Signal, etc.), mailing addresses, or any other personal contact information inside chat messages.
- No off-platform transactions. You will not ask another user to complete the sale outside of Pars Auto Market, including but not limited to meeting in person, paying by cash, Venmo, Zelle, wire transfer, or any payment method not processed through the Platform.
- No harassment. You will keep messages respectful. Threats, hate speech, sexual content, or other abusive behavior is not permitted.
- Moderation. Pars Auto Market may review chat content to enforce these Terms and investigate reports. Messages that appear to share contact info or arrange off-platform payment may be flagged automatically or by our team.
Violations of this section may result in immediate and permanent account termination, loss of access to listings, orders, and any funds in escrow, at Pars Auto Market's sole discretion.
9. Prohibited Conduct
You agree not to:
- Violate any applicable laws or third-party rights.
- Sell illegal, recalled, counterfeit, or unsafe items.
- Use the Platform for deceptive, fraudulent, or misleading purposes.
- Circumvent policies or manipulate transactions.
- Share phone numbers, emails, external contact info, or arrange off-platform transactions via Chats (see Section 8).
10. Account Termination
Pars Auto Market may suspend or terminate accounts at its sole discretion and without prior notice. Common reasons include:
- Abusing the return/refund system.
- Attempting fraud or scams.
- Repeated listing of banned or misrepresented items.
- Disputing valid transactions in bad faith.
Termination may result in loss of account access, listings, and funds in escrow.
11. Dispute Resolution
Pars Auto Market may assist in resolving disputes between users. All decisions we make in connection with such disputes are final and binding.
12. Limitation of Liability
Pars Auto Market is not liable for:
- Any direct, indirect, incidental, or consequential damages.
- Disputes or issues arising from user-to-user transactions.
- Loss, theft, or damage during shipping.
- Noncompliance with any applicable vehicle, emissions, or safety regulations.
All use of the Platform and participation in transactions is at your own risk.
13. Changes to Terms
We may update these Terms at any time. Continued use of the Platform after changes constitutes your acceptance of the revised Terms.
