Previously VDO had the Original Equipment contract to produce these special high-pressure injectors for BMW. VDO's specialized factory producing these injectors became its own company in 2019, now known as Vitesco. That means Vitesco is now the OE supplier to BMW, and has assumed the brand from VDO.

These injectors are all made in Italy, and as the OE supplier to BMW, you can be confident in each injectors performance and longevity. The design has seen revisions and design changes multiple times over the years, finally slowing once they hit the 12th revision (also known as Index 12). This is where the design became most stable and essentially the “known good” version.
High pressure fuel injectors are critical for proper engine operation and tuning. A faulty injector will cause rough running and misfires and drivetrain malfunction codes. Often replacing a failed fuel injector is the only solution, especially on these high-output turbo applications.
